It's kind of hard to believe, if you've never owned property before, that you actually own it. All the apple and pecan trees, the 15-foot rose bushes, the giant maples and white oaks.
The field. It's just hard to understand that suddenly, it's yours. Trae and I bought 25 acres of land last week. It has a spring on it, beautiful flat rocks, hardwood forests. It's a piece of property that people have taken care of for a long time before we ever laid eyes on it, and you can feel that. It's a home place. The apple and pear and peach trees, the pecan trees. It's a place that has received lots of love and attention over the generations. I feel so grateful to be able to call it ours, at least during our lifetimes.
